The challenge
K-12 education hiring is high-volume, seasonal, and highly regulated — with teaching credential requirements varying by state and province, union agreement nuances, and school district procurement rules that most hiring platforms aren't built to handle. Existing job boards treated education like any other sector. k12.careers needed a platform that understood the specific structure of school district hiring and could aggregate the fragmented landscape of K-12 job listings into a single destination for teachers and administrators.
What we built
We built k12.careers from zero in 2026 — job board, ATS, and data pipeline. The public job board aggregates K-12 teaching, administrative, and support roles across school districts, charter networks, and education staffing agencies in the US and Canada, using an automated ingestion pipeline that pulls from district career pages and ATS exports. The employer-facing ATS provides configurable hiring pipelines, interview scheduling, credential verification, and offer workflows tailored to how school districts actually hire. We run the product end-to-end on AWS and continue developing it on a managed retainer.
About the project
k12.careers is a purpose-built job board and ATS for K-12 education hiring across North America. We manage the full product — a public job board aggregating teaching and administrative roles, paired with an employer-facing ATS for candidate review, interview scheduling, credential verification, and offer management.
